Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was spotted attending the opening party of Miami’s newest nightclub, Klutch, wearing a sexy little black dress dress on Tuesday.

Inside the event, the actress and aspiring singer played a live set for the enthusiastic crowd.

What’s totally cool about the dress she is wearing is that it’s more suited to Leighton and not the character she plays on Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf. It’s a perfect dress to “rock out” in.

Leighton Meester helps open Miami club

While she’s only 16, Taylor Momsen wants to be taken seriously. In a recent interview with Seventeen, the Gossip Girl star lamented how hard that is.

“I think people don’t really take me seriously because I’m 16,” Momsen said. “And they think most 16-year-olds don’t know what they want to do.”

The actress and model, who is also the lead singer of post-grudge band The Pretty Reckless, went on to assure fans that she knows what she is doing.

“I actually really do, because I’ve been thinking about it since I was two,” she insists, although she admits feeling like a typical teen in some ways.

Taylor Momsen certainly doesn’t dress like she’s 16.

“I am angsty,” she said. “I’ll be angsty until I’m 80. I think that keeps things fresh. But I always think angst is such a derogatory word toward teens.”

“It just means you’re figuring sh!t out, and I don’t know why that’s a negative thing,” added the star who plays Gossip Girl bad girl Jenny Humphrey.

Taylor Momsen also denied reports that she is jealous of co-star Leighton Meester, whose songs, “Good Girls Go Bad” and “Somebody To Love,” have been used on the show. Taylor’s music has yet to be featured on the CW hit.

The CW has a special group of Top 10 lists for 2009 which show off the personality of our favorite and not-so-favorite Gossip Girl characters.

My favorite is Dorota’s Top 10 Best TV Shows of 2009. In her top three are True Blood, Glee and Modern Family. Dorota seems to like vampires, musicals and funny stuff!

While Vanessa has her Top 10 list of movies including Inglourius Basterds, Dan has a list of … you guessed it … books. Topping his list is “This is Where I Leave You” by Jonathan Tropper.

Can you guess what Jenny made a list of? Top 10 designers for 2009! Her top choice is Rodarte and finishing out at No. 10 is Lady Gaga.

Eric picked the Top 10 albums making Grizzly Bear’s “Veckatimest” his No. 1 pick. Blair chose “Wishful Drinking” at the top of her Top 10 Broadway Shows of 2009.

Chuck decided to list the Top 10 NYC Bars/Clubs/Restaurants of 2009 and his own club, The Gimlet Club, was voted the best. Well, he is Chuck Bass.

Nate and Serena picked really fun Top 10 lists suited to their personalities.

Nate chose to make a Top 10 Video Games of 2009 list making “Brutal Legend” his favorite.

Serena picked out her Top 10 Reality Shows of 2009 picking as her favorite The Rachel Zoe Project. She also likes Tough Love, 16 and Pregnant, The Little Couple, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Intervention among her choices.

The New Mean Girls (I was wondering what to call them!) worked together to make up a Top Ten Songs of 2009 putting Shakira’s “She Wolf” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” at the very top. I was happy Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me” made it in the No. 5 spot. Cobra Starship’s (featuring Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl) “Good Girls Go Bad” made the No. 10 spot.

Gossip Girl characters make Top 10 lists for 2009

Jessica Szohr appears on the cover of February’s Teen Vogue.

The actress is often the target of scorn from Gossip Girl fans, if only because her character, Vanessa, is probably the third-year show’s least popular.

That’s putting it politely.

She also breaks the hearts of many teenage girls by being co-star Ed Westwick’s real-life girlfriend. The cuties have been dating for about a year now.

Jessica says it’s a challenge, since they were best friends first.

“It can be a little awkward when all of a sudden [you have feelings for] a friend; someone you’d call to talk about a different boyfriend,” she confesses.

“But there wasn’t a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, ‘All right, let’s see where this goes.’”

Ed Westwick is a “really rad guy,” the Gossip Girl star adds. “He’s awesome, smart and talented and adorable, and we make each other laugh.”

They don’t have Valentine’s Day plans yet – last year they went to Jamaica with Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan – but they’ll have fun regardless.

“We go to dinners, have nights by ourselves and fun romantic times in general,” she says. “And a lot of times I like just cuddling up on the couch.”

Aww. Ed is a cuddler, who knew?

Jessica says going out in public with Ed can be difficult because of his distinct, recognizable appearance. “That’s Chuck Bass!” is frequently heard.

As for Szohr, she often hears from people on the street that she “looks a lot like Vanessa from Gossip Girl.” LOL. Her response? “Yeah, I get that.”
